CPD
Track your CPD progress, add records, review courses, and understand certificates.
CPD
What this area is for
Use the CPD area to review your progress through the current cycle and keep your record up to date.
Main features
- view your current CPD summary in My CPD
- add structured CPD
- add unstructured CPD
- review SOLAS-delivered learning
- check whether you are on track to complete the cycle
- view certificates in My Certificates when a cycle is complete
The **Certificates** menu entry remains hidden until at least one cycle has a certificate available. Current progress and incomplete cycles remain in **CPD**, avoiding an empty account page.
Good to know
- only approved records count toward your totals
- SOLAS-delivered structured learning may be awarded through live attendance, Microsoft Teams imports, or a linked LearnDash recording, with duplicate protection applied where those paths refer to the same SOLAS event
- current-cycle and grace-period SOLAS CPD learning can count toward the structured SOLAS-delivered minimum
- older SOLAS CPD learning can still be completed, but it is recorded as unstructured SOLAS-delivered CPD and does not reduce the current 2-hour SOLAS-delivered structured requirement
- if SOLAS has already recorded your attendance at the live Teams event, the linked lesson may be marked complete and you should not be repeatedly prompted to complete the knowledge check for that same record
- after a live event, recording lesson, or course completion, SOLAS may also show a pending feedback prompt in
My CPDorMy Learning - if something is missing or incorrect, you can submit a correction request
- where a CPD form asks for evidence, it is kept private and can be accessed only through your authorised SOLAS account; do not rely on an old upload link being public
Honorary and Retired members
Honorary and Retired members can use My CPD and may receive a CPD-cycle update, but they are exempt from the CPD target. They do not need to complete a minimum number of hours, and their CPD record does not affect membership or automatic renewal. Recording CPD remains entirely optional.
Best next step
Open My CPD, review your current totals, then add any missing activity before the cycle deadline.
