What this area is for

Use the Events area to browse upcoming events, review event details, and submit eligible listings.

Main features

  • browse the main events page as a fast server-rendered card list
  • open full event pages with details and booking links
  • spot featured, commercial, and official event badges
  • submit member events through Member Event Submission if that route is available to you
  • submit commercial event listings through the guided form
  • record your attendance on finished CPD-enabled events when the attendance action is shown
  • leave structured event feedback on eligible event pages after the event has started

Good to know

  • the main /events/ page now favours a faster card list instead of depending on the JavaScript calendar for first render
  • the legacy calendar renderer still exists behind the solas_events_calendar shortcode if needed in an explicit calendar mode
  • the top navigation may also show an Events shortcut panel with quick links to approved events, commercial event submission, past-event CPD claims, speaker routes, or highlighted SOLAS sessions
  • events cannot start in the past
  • submitted events are limited to a 3 day maximum
  • ticketed events may show a direct online ticket booking option
  • if an event offers CPD attendance recording, the attendance action appears after the event has finished
  • once an event has started, the event page may also show a feedback area where you can rate the event, explain how you took part, and suggest follow-up topics
  • where a SOLAS event is linked to a recording lesson, attendance or recording completion may also create a later learning feedback prompt in My CPD or My Learning
  • event feedback is different from ordinary comments or booking confirmations
  • if the same SOLAS event is already credited through a Teams import or linked recording, the page should warn that the CPD has already been awarded instead of adding duplicate points
